FriendSpeak Picnic
April 27, 2024 from 11:00am - 1:00pm
Sanctuary Porch at Grace Fellowship

YOU ARE INVITED to join us as we celebrate a great year of ministry with food, fun, and fellowship! Please help us welcome international FriendSpeak students and share our world famous Texas hospitality with them.

We’ll need volunteers to help decorate the porch, welcome our guests to Grace Fellowship, serve food, desserts and drinks, do face painting, oversee other children’s activities and to help clean up. This is a fun, family-friendly serving opportunity.

Students will be asked to bring their favorite food dish, from their home country, for a delicious potluck lunch while Grace Fellowship will also provide Texas BBQ for our guests to sample! Volunteers are also welcome to bring a dish (for 6 people) but it’s totally optional.

FriendSpeak Ministry at Grace Fellowship has been blessing and outreaching to our international friends with English, Friendship, and the Word of God since September 2020.  We have 150+ volunteers and 250+ internationals.

If you are a teacher… please consider bringing a friend with you as more teachers are needed. Your guest can learn more about FriendSpeak while enjoying this time of fun, fellowship and food!

Katy Christian Ministries (KCM) Veterans Appreciation Picnic
Saturday, May 4, 11-2pm
Grace Fellowship Porch

Grace Fellowship is thrilled to announce we are hosting the upcoming 2nd Annual KCM Veterans Appreciation Picnic!  We will recognize and celebrate the brave men and women who made sacrifices for our nation in their service to our country.  Veterans exemplify the scripture found in Philippians 2:3-4 as they set aside personal ambitions and desires for the greater good, valuing the safety and freedom of our nation and our citizens above their own.

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others”.

YOU ARE INVITED to join us in serving and honoring our local veterans on this special day.  Volunteer opportunities include assisting with setup and decorations, helping with food preparation and service, coordinating activities and games, face painting and more. Your time and support will make a meaningful difference in ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience for our honored guests.

Thank you in advance for supporting our veterans!  Your dedication and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated!

Orality Training: An Introduction to Contextual Bible Storying
Saturday, May 18th, 8:30-4:30pm
Grace Fellowship Campus, Vista Conference Room

Please join us for this one-day workshop, hosted by Living Water, offering practical and proven principles in making disciples of oral preference learners.  Discover why church and mission leaders today are saying the Orality Movement is transformational in church history and one of the most significant developments in advancing the Kingdom in the past 500 years.

Orality is the fastest growing movement in evangelism today, and it is changing the face of missions around the world. The rapidly reproducing disciple-making and church planting movements are among oral cultures in Asia, Africa and Latin America.  Increasing numbers of churches and ministries in North America are also realizing the importance and impact of orality-based methods in sharing our faith and making disciples, anywhere, with any people group.

Anyone interested in becoming more effective in sharing your faith, disciple making, church planting or mission outreach anywhere in the world will greatly benefit from gaining a working knowledge of relational narrative communication skills and orality strategies. Participants are telling how this training is bringing transformation to their lives and increasing their effectiveness in sharing their faith and disciple making efforts.
