Children with Special Needs

girl smiling

You created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
(Psalm 139:13 - 14)

The Special Needs ministry of Grace Fellowship shares the love of God with those children in our midst with developmental and physical challenges.

About Special Needs Ministry
On Sunday mornings, Special Needs volunteers – called Special Needs Buddies - accompany their designated child through KIDS Place or join other Buddies in the Special Needs Self-Contained Suite to facilitate a one-on-one experience with God’s Word.

On Sunday evenings, Special Needs buddies accompany Special Needs youth to RPM for worship, teaching and fellowship.

Grace Fellowship is also in the process of developing a Respite Night for Special Needs families – more details coming soon!

Visiting Grace Fellowship with a Special Needs Child
At Grace Fellowship, we are so excited to love on your child. We strive to meet the special needs of your child and show your child how much God loves him or her. In order to best meet your child’s needs, we ask that you contact us prior to visiting Grace (Amy Zimmerman at 281-859-7511 or azimmerman@whatisgrace.org) . This will enable us to know about your child and prepare our staff to welcome him/her! We will attempt to match your angel with a buddy who will work with him/her each week either in their age appropriate classroom or in our Special Needs Self Contained Classroom.

Serving in the Special Needs Ministry
If you are interested in serving in Special Needs on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings or Respite Night, please contact Amy Zimmerman at 281-859-7511 or azimmerman@whatisgrace.org.
